This research examines how and to what extent the wide application of social media (Twitter/Weibo) has transformed journalism in mainland China and Taiwan. Interviews with journalists in mainland China and Taiwan were conducted in this project. Two research workshops were held in Leicester, the UK and Taiwan. The discussions in these workshops were published as two edited volumes: Digital Technology and Journalism: An International Comparative Perspective and Social Media and Journalism (in Chinese).
